Brandon Dean’s Childcare

My name is Brandon Dean and I’m the owner and sole caregiver of Brandon Dean’s Childcare. Ever since I was young I had always had a passion for working with children. I have been around kids of all ages my entire life, starting with my mom’s home daycare, who has done in-home care for the past 30+ years. I have helped my mom and her friends numerous times with daycare growing up. In the summer of 2003 I was offered to volunteer to help with HCPSS ESY RECC Program, summer school for preschoolers with special needs. I am still proud to say I am working with them today as a paid employee. In 2007 I got my first paid babysitting job for a neighbor on my street. Later that became 3 neighbors. In the fall of 2008 I began my studies as an educator by taking education classes my Sophomore year at Reservoir High School (Class of 2011). Around the same time I became active with Faith Formation and Sunday Nursery at my church in Fulton, where I’m still active today as Lead Nursery Manager and PreK/K Faith Formation teacher. In the 2010/2011 school year I began my field placement at Emmanuel Methodist Preschool in Laurel. The following school year I was hired as an aide for EMP for 1 year. In the Fall of 2011 I began my path to receiving my AA in Early Childhood Special Education at HCC. By the Fall of 2021 I will have my AA. In the fall of 2012 I accepted a position with HCPSS as a lunch and recess monitor which lead to a position as a student aide. In the Fall of 2013 I began a new journey at St. John’s Parish Day School for 4 years as an aftercare assistant, aftercare director, lunch/recess supervisor, 4 year old classroom assistant, and assistant director of Auxiliary Programs. In the Summer of 2017 I ended my journey working in schools temporarily to focus more on my own education and my business. As of today I have provided care over 1300 times for nearly 250 families across 9 counties in Maryland. Many of these families come back to use me more. When you hire me I bring over 13 years of babysitting, and over 15 years of experience working with newborns to young teens as well as children with special needs, and a life time of education background to your home. One thing that Brandon Dean’s Childcare cares about is the community. You can see me supporting various schools, non-profit organizations, and local charities. BDC survives on the support of the community as that is what it takes to make life easier. My mission is to care for your children in a safe, fun, educational environment while you are worry free.
